Alexis and her husband were vacationing in Waikiki with her family. They wanted to do a couples photo session with me but also get a few group photos with everyone else. I was also set to do a family session for her brother the next day. Her mother had the adorable idea to bring “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” noses for everyone and possibly get a holiday card picture ready for next year. They looked great! Afterwards, I went off with Alexis and Sam and got some romantic photos of just the two of them. It was cloudy outside and even rained on us during the shoot but we waited it out. Ram and Betty wanted to do something very special to celebrate their 50th anniversary…so they decided to renew their vows in Hawaii and have all their family come participate! Their children and grandchildren flew in from all over the world and each had their own part in the ceremony. We started out at the Hale Koa hotel, then headed to the church on a trolley and ended up back at the Hale Koa for lunch. It was a very sentimental event and I could tell how close knit this family really was, so I was honored to capture it for them…
Carol set up a session with me to get some family photos done in Waikiki. It was an unusually cloudy afternoon, the day of the shoot but we still got some great shots on the beach. Her brother joined in for some of the photos and helped with the task of getting her son to smile. He was taking the photo shoot a little too seriously! Holly and Kenneth’s wedding is just under 2 weeks away and they wanted to do a pre-wedding photo session. We did the shoot at the Moana Surfrider Hotel, where Holly will be getting ready on her wedding day. For part of the photo shoot, Holly wore an “ao dai”- a traditional Vietnamese gown. She looked stunning in it and got compliments on the dress everywhere we went!
