Mother Daughter Photo Shoot at Kailua Beach Park

Mia was leaving the island and wanted some beach pictures with her daughter, Madison, before they left. She also wanted individual pictures of each of them. Madison was so energetic- I literally had to chase her across the beach, begging for her to stay still. It was worth it though- the camera loves her!

Lisa contacted me to take some vacation pictures of her family- which included her husband, son, parents, brother and her brother’s family! It was a big group but everyone was extremely easy going and made the shoot a fun time. Most of the session was spent cooing over Lisa’s baby boy, as well as her newborn niece- both were such cuties!

Michelle and her family were visiting from Calgary and wanted some family pictures from their vacation. She has an adorable baby girl, Lily. It was Lily’s first time in Hawaii and she was having some trouble adjusting to the texture of sand on her toes. Despite this, she was a bubbly bundle of joy for the whole shoot! I had taken some family portraits at the beach for Emily, a few months ago, and had a great time working with her family. She contacted me to do another session- pictures to celebrate her youngest daughter’s first birthday. We decided to have a change of scenery from the last shoot and did this session at a park in Nuuanu. The birthday girl, Charlotte, had already grown so much since I had last seen her. She was just starting to walk and loved wandering around, which made it ALOT harder to capture her this time!

Nicole and her family were in the middle of a big move and their stay in Hawaii was the calm before all the craziness. She wanted some family pictures in multiple locations for variety, to remember their time here- so we did a photo tour. She has a beautiful baby girl who was full of personality, which was apparent in her trademark “stinky face” facial expression!

Mandy was visiting from WA and wanted some pictures of her son Hunter at the beach. We met up at Waimanalo Beach Park and just let Hunter loose! He was such a bundle of energy and couldn’t stand still. He wasn’t even fazed after he got hit by a wave and spent the rest of the shoot in his swim trunks and then his diaper. He was SO adorable, I didn’t want the session to end!

I had taken pictures for Kimball’s sister Alexis, the day before and was excited to do a session with him and his family. He has a beautiful wife and an adorable little girl, Aurora. We stayed on Waikiki Beach, by their hotel. Aurora was such a doll- the camera loved her!

Alexis and her husband were vacationing in Waikiki with her family. They wanted to do a couples photo session with me but also get a few group photos with everyone else. I was also set to do a family session for her brother the next day. Her mother had the adorable idea to bring “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” noses for everyone and possibly get a holiday card picture ready for next year. They looked great! Afterwards, I went off with Alexis and Sam and got some romantic photos of just the two of them. It was cloudy outside and even rained on us during the shoot but we waited it out. We ended the session in the water…
