Couples Photo Shoot at Waialae Beach Park

Maria and Ivan were honeymooning from Southern California. They had just gotten married right before they left for their Hawaii trip. Their wedding ceremony had been simple and intimate- they told me this photo session was kind of like a wedding treat to themselves. I had a great time getting to know them better and finding out tidbits, like how they had met at work- when he wanted to sit next to her at lunch. It was a cloudy day but they were such an adorable couple and very comfortable with showing affection for each other- which made for a fantastic shoot, despite the lack of sun!

John is stationed in Hawaii and Claudia was out here visiting him. They had gotten married the day before our session, so I was able to witness the elation of being newlyweds! We did the photo shoot on Waikiki Beach, right before sunset. They were a playful couple, but also VERY romantic…

Engagement Session at the Hale Koa

Ashley and Hunter are a vibrant young couple, visiting from the East Coast and staying at the Hale Koa Hotel. We started the session on the grounds there and then moved down to the beach. Ashley had a contagious laugh and kept the mood of the shoot fun and casual, which warmed up Hunter for the camera. Congratulations on the engagement and best wishes to the both of you!

Engagement Photos in Waikiki

Amanda and Ryan were escaping the cold winter back home and thought it would be great to have their engagement pictures done while they were out here in paradise! It rained the day of our session but we rescheduled for the next morning, and lucked out with a gorgeous sunny day. They were such a beautiful couple and were extremely easy to work with. Good luck with the wedding planning you two and hope to see you back here in Hawaii again!

I love shooting couples on their honeymoon! They’re always so relaxed because the stress of wedding planning has melted away and they’re in the blissful “just married” stage. Most of the time, I don’t even have to prompt them to kiss for a shot, they do it themselves! Jesse and Michele are a beautiful couple and they couldn’t have seemed happier about tying the knot a few days earlier. We did a romantic pre-sunset shoot in Waikiki…

Engagement Pictures on a Photo Tour

Lisa and RJ are in the midst of planning their summer wedding and thought it’d be nice to get some engagement pictures done in Hawaii. They were such a fun couple and made me laugh throughout the photo tour. RJ wasn’t used to having his picture taken but Lisa was great at warming him up for the camera. Congratulations you two and I hope the wedding goes perfectly!

Maria and Laurence were honeymooning in Honolulu and staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. They were still basking in the newlywed glow and excited about escaping the East Coast winter back home. We had a great time at the session and they ended the shoot with a scene that was straight out of a Corona commercial…

Anna and Bill wanted to do a beach photo session while on their honeymoon in Hawaii. Bill is an avid surfer and loves being in the water. They’re an extremely photogenic couple and made it easy for me to capture their romance!

Melissa and Justin were in Hawaii on their honeymoon and staying at the Moana Surfrider in Waikiki. I’ve always thought the Surfrider was one of the most romantic hotels on Oahu and I was excited to take some shots around the hotel, in addition to the beach. One thing I love about honeymoon shoots is how relaxed the couples usually are- the craziness of the wedding was finally over and now it was time to just enjoy each other!
