Heather and Patrick were in Hawaii celebrating their 4 year anniversary and wanted some beach pictures. It was a particularly windy day but we were still able to create a scene of serenity. Heather had such a beautiful smile! They were a lovely couple and I look forward to seeing them back in Hawaii for future anniversary celebrations…

I made a trip back to New York this past week and had the chance to visit my parents. It was nice to have a change of scenary but the flight was SO long! I did some photo editing to make the time go by faster…

Here are two shots from a couples session I did with Ashley and Chad before I left. They exchanged vows during their stay in Hawaii but my shoot with them was a casual one. They were so laid back and relaxed- definitely in love…

Jessica and Jeff are expecting their first “bundle of joy” in just under 2 months from now- a baby boy! They were both very excited about the arrival of Evan Jeffrey. We did the shoot in a park, to escape the heat. Jessica looked beautiful and serene with her mommy-to-be glow….

Maria and Ivan were honeymooning from Southern California. They had just gotten married right before they left for their Hawaii trip. Their wedding ceremony had been simple and intimate- they told me this photo session was kind of like a wedding treat to themselves. I had a great time getting to know them better and finding out tidbits, like how they had met at work- when he wanted to sit next to her at lunch. It was a cloudy day but they were such an adorable couple and very comfortable with showing affection for each other- which made for a fantastic shoot, despite the lack of sun!

John is stationed in Hawaii and Claudia was out here visiting him. They had gotten married the day before our session, so I was able to witness the elation of being newlyweds! We did the photo shoot on Waikiki Beach, right before sunset. They were a playful couple, but also VERY romantic…

Vows on the Beach

Bobbie and Tom were a gorgeous young couple, who just wanted to exchange their vows on the beach. Sounded simple enough, right? Through the chaos of late taxis, hair appointments and missing ministers- their wedding day ended up being anything but simple! Luckily, we all just kept our positive attitudes and went with the flow. Bobbie had an infectious laugh that definitely helped us see the humor in the situation. They were such a fun couple and I wish them many many years of wedded bliss!

Engagement Session at the Hale Koa

Ashley and Hunter are a vibrant young couple, visiting from the East Coast and staying at the Hale Koa Hotel. We started the session on the grounds there and then moved down to the beach. Ashley had a contagious laugh and kept the mood of the shoot fun and casual, which warmed up Hunter for the camera. Congratulations on the engagement and best wishes to the both of you!

Engagement Photos in Waikiki

Amanda and Ryan were escaping the cold winter back home and thought it would be great to have their engagement pictures done while they were out here in paradise! It rained the day of our session but we rescheduled for the next morning, and lucked out with a gorgeous sunny day. They were such a beautiful couple and were extremely easy to work with. Cindy and John were vacationing in Hawaii, celebrating their 26th anniversary. Cindy wanted to have some pictures together to commemorate the occassion. Despite being uncomfortable with having his picture taken, John was a great sport and played along to make his wife happy. I told Cindy that was true love! I love shooting couples on their honeymoon! They’re always so relaxed because the stress of wedding planning has melted away and they’re in the blissful “just married” stage. Most of the time, I don’t even have to prompt them to kiss for a shot, they do it themselves!
